Artist Statement

In 2012 I have planned to concentrate on my new current practices of creating acrylic and collage works on canvas. I have had success and good responses from those works that I created in the last 18 months.

As to the process: there is a lot of water used, sticking down bits of paper, pouring paint and walking away t=ill it dries. Because I am a printmaker, paper seems to be one of my favourite things. I use good quality Japanese ad other handmade papers. There is an enormous range to choose from, absorbent, non-absorbent, transparent, opaque, and I am still discovering new ways to use whatever takes my fancy or I find available.
